Manual-wind mechanical movement, caliber 2414A, 17 jewels, wound by unscrewing the crown, which is intentionally loose and disconnected from the case body by design, a patented Vostok feature protecting the winding stem from impact damage. Chrome-plated stainless steel case with a friction bezel that rotates bidirectionally without clicking for basic elapsed timing. Dial now shows a warm sunburst gold tone, originally a dark olive green that has oxidized over decades of light exposure into this collectible patina. Red star and VDV paratrooper insignia at 12 o'clock, honoring the Soviet Airborne Forces, with "Командирские" (Komandirskie) script signed below center & "17 KAMHE" (17 jewels) beneath. Applied luminous Arabic numerals, luminous baton hands, and a date window at 3 o'clock. Domed acrylic crystal. Fitted with a brown riveted leather strap, a two-piece design with exposed brass rivets along each side.
