रु. 22500.00
Description: Seiko Sportsmatic, reference 6619, from 1960. The Sportsmatic was Seiko's first automatic line, launched in 1956 as the brand's entry into self-winding watchmaking. By 1960 the range had matured into one of the most significant chapters in Japanese horology - these are the watches that established Seiko's credibility as a serious manufacturer before the world was paying attention. The 6619 is a particularly refined variant, featuring Dauphine hands drawn from the same design language that Grand Seiko would later make iconic.
Features a date-only display, Dauphine hands with Grand Seiko-adjacent elegance, and the clean dial layout characteristic of early Seiko automatic production. Powered by Seiko Calibre 6619 automatic movement - a historically significant early Seiko automatic calibre. Stainless steel case. Acrylic crystal.
Story of This Watch: A 65-year-old Seiko automatic from the brand's foundational era, wearing Dauphine hands that predate the Grand Seiko line they would later influence. These early Sportsmatics are increasingly difficult to find in any condition, let alone 4/5.
Condition: Very good vintage condition rated 4/5. Case shows honest age-appropriate wear consistent with a 1960 example. Movement running. No box or papers.
Good Wrist Co. Assurance: Inspected and verified authentic. Reference 6619 and 1960 production as confirmed by seller. Full condition notes to be updated upon photo review prior to publication.
