Story of This Watch: Seiko made a lot of Seiko 5s. Most of them are round. The 7S26-03R0 is not most of them. The angular, integrated lug design with its bevelled case architecture draws an obvious visual line toward the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak & Patek Philippe Nautilus school of sport-luxury case design - hence the nickname that collectors have attached to it. Seiko never called it the Nautilus, but the market did, & for good reason. The champagne dial & two-tone execution push it firmly into dress territory while the 7S26 inside keeps it honest as a daily automatic. These are increasingly sought after by collectors who want something with more personality than the standard round 5.

Dial shows an overall warm shift in colour tone across the entire surface - a uniform patina rather than patchy discoloration, which reads as character on a piece of this age rather than damage.
