Seiko 5 Automatic 17 Jewels - White Lume Arabic

रु. 12000.00

Description: Vintage Seiko 5 Automatic, 17 Jewels, produced in February 1972. One of the earliest expressions of what would become the most democratically significant watch line in Japanese horological history. At 53 years old, this example predates most vintage Seiko collections and represents the foundational era of Seiko's automatic production. Made in Japan confirmed on caseback.

Features a white dial with luminous green Arabic numeral hour markers, matching luminous hands, and a red day/date window at 3 o'clock - a distinctly bold and period-correct design choice characteristic of early 1970s Japanese watchmaking. "Automatic 17 Jewels" designation printed on dial. Powered by Seiko Calibre 7009 automatic movement. Stainless steel case retaining its original period-correct stainless steel bracelet - a rare survival for a watch of this age. Acrylic crystal.

Story of This Watch: The oldest piece in the lineup and arguably the most significant for it. A 1972 Seiko 5 wearing its original bracelet is an increasingly rare find - most examples of this age have lost their original hardware to replacements or damage over five decades. The luminous green numerals give it a personality that modern reissues have attempted but never quite replicated.

Condition: Good vintage condition rated 3.5/5. Case and original bracelet show honest age-appropriate wear across 53 years. Dial remains clean and legible with no moisture damage. Lume plots intact. Movement functioning. Original bracelet present - a notable preservation for this era. No box or papers.

Good Wrist Co. Assurance: Inspected and verified authentic. Reference 7009 and serial number confirmed on caseback. Production dated February 1972. Made in Japan confirmed. All visible components consistent with period-correct Seiko 5 production. Transparent disclosure regarding unknown service history and age-appropriate wear throughout.
