Description: Omega Genève Dynamic Day-Date reference 166.079, made between 1969 & 1974, powered by the 24-jewel Omega Caliber 752 automatic with day & date. Stainless steel Unishell case in an elliptical shape at approximately 41mm x 37mm & about 10.5mm thick, built so the movement goes in from the dial side. Original two-tone blue & silver sector dial in the bullseye pattern, with silver luminous hands & a bright light-blue sweep seconds hand. Day & date window at 3 o’clock, with Omega Automatic & Genève Dynamic printed on the dial. Original Omega integrated stainless steel bracelet.

Story of This Watch: The Dynamic was Omega’s answer to the space-age 1960s, an oval case with no traditional lugs, built so the bracelet flows straight out of the case. The Unishell construction was part of that: instead of opening from the back, the movement is accessed from the front. The day & date version is the rarer of the line, & the blue & silver bullseye dial with the light-blue seconds hand is the most recognizable face Omega put on it. Most Omegas of this era played it safe. The Dynamic didn’t, & that’s why it’s one of the 70s designs collectors still look for.

Condition: Great condition, rated 4/5 for a rare piece of this age. Dial & hands are original, with the bullseye pattern & printing intact. Case & bracelet show age-appropriate wear & light marks from regular use. Regularly serviced & running reliably. No polishing. No box or papers.
