Description: Jaeger-LeCoultre Club Automatic day & date from the 1970s, with a Swiss automatic movement. Brushed stainless steel cushion-shaped case at approximately 37mm. Light grey dial with chunky gold-tone block indices, a checkered outer minute track & gold-tone baton hands. Framed day & date window at 3 o’clock, with the Jaeger-LeCoultre Club name & Swiss Made printed on the dial. Dial has been repainted. Two-tone Jubilee-style link bracelet, a replacement & not original.

Story of This Watch: Antoine LeCoultre started in 1833 making movements for some of Switzerland’s best houses, & after the 1937 merger with Jaeger the name became one of the most respected in watchmaking. The Club line arrived in the 1970s as Jaeger-LeCoultre’s entry-level range, which makes it the most accessible way to own the name. The bold cushion case, block indices & checkered minute track are pure 70s design, loud in a way watchmakers rarely allow themselves now. This example has been redialed, which is worth knowing & is reflected in the price, but the case & the look are what make a Club worth wearing.

Condition: Great condition, rated 5/5. The repainted dial is clean & even, with the indices, minute track & printing sharp & legible. The brushed case is clean with no notable wear. Regularly serviced & running reliably. The bracelet is a replacement. No polishing. No box or papers.
