Story of This Watch: The Rubaiyat is named after the 12th century Persian poem by Omar Khayyam - a fitting reference for a watch this considered in its design. The case architecture is the standout detail: those open cutouts at the lug junctions are not decorative afterthoughts, they are the design. Combined with a black mother-of-pearl dial - a rarer & more dramatic choice than the standard white MOP - & six actual diamonds, this is Bulova operating at the upper end of its design ambition.
